FAQ

If most dance studios seem to have qualified, friendly, experienced teachers, and a big show at the end of the year, aren’t they pretty much the same? Does it really matter which studio you decide to enroll at? Yes. There are some factors that can make a huge difference in the quality of instruction your child receives, the amount of extra work the parent must deal with and the overall enjoyment and satisfaction of being involved with a dance program. Here are some things that every parent should consider before deciding on a dance studio for their child.

What are RAD Ballet Exams?

Will my child be in a class with children of the same age?

Classes are offered at various age levels and students at the beginning of the year are grouped accordingly by age.  Teachers are constantly assessing and evaluating their students progress and may at times recommend a student to go into a differentl level based on his/her performance.  Dance education is a highly individual process where each student progress at their own unique pace.

Can I view my child's progress throughout the year?

YES!  We offer four studios with viewing windows, so that parents may observe their child's class at the beginning of the year.  However, blinds will be closed during the latter half of the class once recital routines start.  The teacher and students want to surprise you and the audience with their dazzling routine during showtime at the year end recital!  It is also important that your child feel the independence of attending a dance class with their friends and teacher.  An important life skill to learn.

Is the cheapest tuition rates and "bargain prices" a good thing?

Everyone looks for different things in a dance studio and sometimes price is an important factor.  Dance, however is a delicate process and if high quality training and education are important to you, then price should not be the determining factor in which studio you choose for your child.  Studio Dance Arts prides itself on it's highly qualified faculty with professional industry experience.  We also avoid having senior students or inexperienced young teachers handle your child's dance education.  You will find that our prices are extremely reasonable and affordable for the quality of work that is being invested in your child.

Do you offer recreational and competitive dance programs?

Studio Dance Arts provides an exceptional Preschool Program for the very young dancer (2-4yrs) with our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certified teacher.  As well, we offer an exciting Recreational Program for students (5yrs+) that want to dance for fun and fitness!  Our nationally award winning Competitive Programs are also designed to suit students with various levels of commitment!
